Year 7-9 Art:
Homework will be set as one piece every 2 weeks. The tasks will range from research tasks to creating and completing artworks. Students should be spending 40 minutes per week on the task.
Tasks will be set on Edulink and students will receive feedback on their work in the following lesson. Written feedback is given every half term, whist verbal feedback is given every lesson.
Art support classes are provided for students to attend every Wednesday should they struggle to complete a piece of homework and need assistance.
GCSE Art and Graphics
In year 10 students are expected to complete an hour a week of homework. This increases to two hours a week in year 11.
The homework will compile of coursework tasks such as research pages, artist copies, artworks or design or extension of what they are currently completing in class. All of the work contributes towards their final GCSE grade.
Students will receive both written and verbal feedback on their tasks and homework at various stages of the course. Homework is meticulously checked and tracked using checklists within the art department.

A level Art and Graphics:
All A level students are expected to complete 10 hours of work per week, including contact time during lessons. Students are encouraged to plan and track their hours using tracking sheets.
This is increased to 15 hours per week when they start their Externally set assignment.
Every week 1 to 1 feedback is given on the progress of this independent time and the quality of work or research produced during this time.
