Name: Deeya Jutla
Head Student
My name is Deeya, and I am delighted to have been given the role of Head Student.
Currently I am studying History, English Literature and Spanish A-Level and I am hoping to attend University taking a degree in History. I applied for the role of Head Student as I felt I could make a great difference to our schools community. Whether it be through different forms of mentoring, clubs or whole school events, I wanted our school to be brought together and have a greater sense of unity. I want the next year to be a chance to make memories, a chance for everyone to remember Cox Green as a place they made friends, worked together and enriched their learning within a thriving environment.
I have been at this school since 2018, and during the lockdown period I evaluated how much I missed being with my peers as part of the school community. I missed being taught in person by my teachers but also simply laughing with friends and I was eager to return back. Post lockdown, I have made lasting memories such as where many people in school took part in the World Record Rounders Tournament. During this I felt that sense of unity again and became eager to partake in more school events. As Head Student, I’m determined to introduce more days to remember, and hope to strengthen the Cox Green community alongside the help of the Student Leadership team. I look forward to working with students, staff and parents to make the next academic year as memorable and enjoyable as possible.

Head Student
My name is Taylor, and I am honoured to be given the role of Head Student for the 2024-2025 school year. Currently I study three A-levels: Government and Politics, Business Studies and Psychology. I applied for the role of Head Student because I believe in giving the students a representative voice and providing as many opportunities as possible to enhance not only their education at Cox Green but their life experiences to. I started my journey at Cox Green in 2018 as a year 7 and stayed on in Sixth Form. I love the community feel that Cox Green has and how it makes everyone feel welcome, it is a safe space with lots of people to talk to.
